A number of wild fires are burning in Cape Town’s south peninsula areas, having been fuelled by strong winds.
Staff and guests were evacuated from the prime seaside property in the early hours this morning after a raging fire swept through Table Mountain National Park.
A resident from the Muizenberg area tells eNCA that the fire blew Patients in the high care unit at one of the old age homes in the area, they were however transferred to surrounding hospitals nearby..
Despite social media rumours that the Tintswalo Atlantic Lodge at the foot of Champman’s Peak has burned down, management has said that they have yet to assess the damage.
